Living in Wyoming

Wyoming, The Cowboy State, is the last mainstay of the “Old West”. There is beautiful scenery, wildlife, including buffaloes and grizzle bears, and an abundance of things to do outdoors. There are opportunities for nurses to visit galleries and museums such as The National Museum of Wildlife Art, Nicolaysen Arts Museum and Discovery Center, The Wyoming Arts Council Museum and The University of Wyoming Art Museum. There are three spectacular national parks in Wyoming including Yellowstone National Park, with over two million acres, Grand Teton National Park, which towers 13,000 feet above Jackson Hole, and Devil’s Tower National Park. Old Faithful Geyser is a must see part of Yellowstone National Park. The Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum, Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, The Snake River, and Independence Rock are other historic places to visit. Recreational opportunities abound including mountain and rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, float trips, rafting, skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding and snowshoeing.
